ASTÉRIX AND OBÉLIX: GOD SAVE BRITANNIA is the fourth instalment in the Astérix franchise.
This film is a broad adaptation of Rene Goscinny and Albert Uderzo’s original 1966 comicbook ‘Astérix in Britain.’ Astérix crosses the channel to help second-cousin Anticlimax face down Julius Caesar and invading Romans.
Co-written and directed by Laurent Tirard, who plays the role of Little Nicholas, the French language film also stars Edouard Baer and Gérard Depardieu playing the title characters Astérix and Obélix respectively with Fabrice Luchini as Julius Caesar.
