Catherine Tiernan joined Metropolitan Pictures in April 2016.
Executive Producer credits include Neil Jordan’s Greta starring Isabelle Huppert and Chloë Grace Moretz.
Catherine’s recent Production Executive credits for Metropolitan Pictures include Vikings Season 5&6, Valhalla Season 1 and Kin for BRON Studios which completed filming at the end of February 2021.
Catherine had previously worked with James Flynn as Head of Production and Development with Octagon Films between 2002 – 2006. She was co-producer of the film Inside I’m Dancing (starring James McAvoy) directed by Damien O’Donnell and oversaw the development of the Oscar® nominated short The Door and the feature film As If I Am Not There by Juanita Wilson.
Catherine was Business Affairs Executive with Screen Producers Ireland, the national representative organisation for film and television producers, from 2011 to 2016.
Between 1989 and 2002 she ran her own production company Ocean Films and produced the feature film The Fifth Province starring Brían F. O’Byrne, the famine set TV drama Poorhouse written by Michael Harding, five prime-time documentary series and eight one-off creative documentaries on a broad range of issues for broadcasters including Channel 4, RTÉ and TG4.
David’s producing career spans thirty years. He cut his producing teeth with the film version of the Colum McCann short story ‘Fishing the Sloe Black River’, which he produced in 1995. Following which he gained extensive production experience working with a number of leading Irish production companies on major feature features such as Jim Sheridan’s The Boxer as Trainee Producer, and the Noel Pearson produced Dancing at Lughnasa directed by Pat O’Connor with Meryl Streep in the lead role. This culminating in him being appointed Head of Production with Irish Screen, where he co-produced Vicious Circle, starring Ken Stott, and The American, starring Matthew Modine, both for BBC Films, as well as the BBC drama serial Aristocrats, directed by David Caffrey. He was also a producer of its feature film When the Sky Falls for Sky Pictures, with Joan Allen in the lead role, as well as the feature version of the Spike Milligan book Puckoon, which featured Richard Attenborough and Elliot Gould amongst the ensemble cast.
He laterally produced a number of feature and television projects through his own production company, Distinguished Features including Dead Bodies, with Andrew Scott winning the best actor IFTA for his lead performance, and the Alan Gilsenan directed Zulu 9, having previously produced Alan’s earlier feature film All Souls’ Day. David was selected by the Irish Film Board as the Irish producer for the European Film Promotion ‘Producer on the Move’ initiative at the Cannes Film Festival in 2003.
As a director and joint CEO of Metropolitan Pictures, David has produced, executive produced or co-produced television dramas and feature films, including: Season Two of ‘Wednesday’ for MGM & Netflix; the multi award-winning ‘KIN’, with BRON and Headline Pictures for AMC, RTÉ, Viaplay and Screen Ireland; ‘Redemption’ with Tall Story Pictures for ITV, VMTV, Screen Ireland and the Coimisiún na Meán S&V Fund, which won the best drama award at the 2023 RTS Awards; ‘Harry Wild’ seasons one to three, for Dynamic Television, Acorn, ZDF and RTÉ; ‘Moonhaven’ for AMC; and the feature films ‘Anniversary’, for Fifth Season and Lionsgate, and ‘Silver’ for Constantin Film and Amazon.
David’s current projects include executive producing season four of ‘Harry Wild’, ‘The 12 Dates of Christmas’ for Hallmark and Dynamic Television, and ‘Infraction’ with Tall Story Pictures for Channel 4, ITV Global & VMTV; co-producing ‘How to get to Heaven from Belfast’ for Hat Trick Productions and Netflix; and producing, in association with Cuba Pictures, the Marian Keyes drama series ‘The Walsh Sisters’ for BBC, RTÉ, Screen Ireland and Cineflix, as well as producing the Irish language feature film ‘Difriúil’.
David is a former CEO of Screen Producers Ireland and was recently elected to its board of directors, in addition to being the Chair of its Film and Television Drama Committee. He is a board director of the Irish Film and Television Academy and is also a member of the Steering Group of the National Talent Academy (East) for Film & TV. David co-founded, and was the chair for the first five years, of the Dublin International Film Festival.
Tina is an award-winning producer with a significant back catalogue of projects from films to tv series; current attendee of EPI Series Women and alumni of EAVE 2024, Rotterdam Producers Lab 2023 and Screen Ireland’s Series Accelerator in conjunction with MediaXchange. Currently in post -production on RE-CREATION a feature docu-drama directed by Jim Sheridan and David Merriman featuring Vicky Krieps, Colm Meaney and Aidan Gillen.

Conor’s production career began like many others working with many Irish filmmakers as a production assistant on shorts, commercials, and indie features, including Mark O’Connor’s ‘Amongst the Wolves’, as well as in front of the camera, as a graduate of the Bow Street Acting Academy
With a keen interest in producing, Conor was selected for the role of Trainee Producer on the fourth season of the highly successful ‘Harry Wild’ starring Jane Seymour, for Acorn, Dynamic Television, ZDF and RTÉ, starting Conor’s journey with Metropolitan Pictures
Building on his very successful term in that role, Conor was subsequently offered the full time position of Production Executive joining the Metropolitan team working across all of Metropolitan’s slate of projects in production and in development currently including the Metropolitan and Cuba Pictures co-production of Marian Keyes’ The Walsh Sisters, for RTÉ, BBC, Screen Ireland and Cineflix, and ‘The 12 Dates of Christmas’ for Hallmark and Dynamic Television, as well as on all of Metropolitan’s original productions including the upcoming Irish language feature ‘Difrúil; directed by John Farrelly.
Conor holds a degree in international business from Dublin City University and is fluent in Spanish, as well as being a keen drummer.
