Coming off the back of the highly successful first season of Kin, AMC+ has recommissioned the critically acclaimed Dublin based crime drama written by Peter McKenna for a second season.
The brand new, much anticipated Irish crime drama Kin, which follows the lives of a fictional Dublin family embroiled in a gangland war, has been confirmed to air on Sunday 12 September at 9:30pm on RTÉ One and catch up on RTÉ Player.
LOS ANGELES, California — May 5, 2021 — Dynamic Television announced today that ZDF has joined leading Irish production company Metropolitan Films as a co-producer for its upcoming Irish murder mystery series Harry Wild. Additionally, Mediawan is pre-buying the series in France and RTÉ comes on board as the Irish broadcaster.
Acclaimed actress Paula Malcomson (The Hunger Games trilogy, Ray Donovan, Deadwood) will take the lead role in Redemption, a six part drama jointly commissioned by ITV and Virgin Media Television, Ireland in association with Fís Éireann / Screen Ireland.
Co-commissioned by Virgin Media Television and ITV, in association with Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, Redemption sees Paula Malcomson, the highly prolific film and television actress with roles in all four The Hunger Games movies, The Green Mile, Law & Order SVU, Ray Donovan and Deadwood, take the lead role as DI Colette Cunningham.
Other Irish cast include Siobhan McSweeney from Derry Girls, Moe Dunford known for Vikings, Keith McErlean from Black 47, Thaddea Graham from The Irregulars and Ian Lloyd Anderson from Blood S2 and Love/Hate.
Following on from the recent ratings success of the Love/Hate season finale on RTÉ One (1,005,400 viewers with a 56% audience share), RTÉ has announced that ‘Love/Hate’ will now be streamed on Netflix in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
